Spencer Butte Trail is located just south of Eugene Oregon making it an excellent workout destination for the residents of the city. The foggy rainforest trails will make you feel like you were transported to another planet. The reason this trail makes a great workout is the final 900 meters which becomes very steep as you get near the top of the butte, but it is well worth the burn. There are also a series of ridgeline trails throughout the Spencer Butte parking area, so if you are interested in a casual walk with your canine friend you are in luck. You could almost hit a new trail every day of the week.
